Next Kraftwerke and Energy on Track signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The companies are aiming at establishing the first Virtual Power Plant in Kazakhstan using Next Kraftwerke‘s VPP-as-a-service NEMOCS.
NEMOCS can network thousands of decentralized units in order to optimize their operation. It processes data in real time, leading to benefits such as improved generation forecasting. Additionally, NEMOCS issues operational commands if needed to steer a fleet of thousands of networked units to follow price or grid signals.
Kazakhstan will see a larger percentage of renewables in their energy system within the next years. Using NEMOCS, Energy on Track wants to improve forecasts and enable balancing through decentralized units.
