The Warsaw Commodity Clearing House (IRGiT) has presented its annual “Rozrachunki” award in the category of the début of the year 2018 to Elektrownie Next. The award recognises the most active players and brokers trading on the exchange market in 2018.
As a licensed Polish power trader, Virtual Power Plant operator Next Kraftwerke, parent company of Polish subsidiary Elektrownie Next, markets electricity from Polish renewable energy sources via the Virtual Power Plant Next Pool. Right now the installed capacity in Poland aggregates up to 175 megawatts coming mostly from wind and pv assets. “Our portfolio is almost 100 per cent renewable. We hope we can contribute to more renewable energy for the polish system by offering options to optimize revenues for our clients. Linking the units to the central control system and cooperating with our traders in Cologne, Germany, enables us to guarantee at least the average monthly spot market price based on the Polish power exchange’s TGE Base”, Business Developer Artur Lagodzinski says. “It is our first award for being active in the Polish market. We feel honored and very happy about the acknowledgement of our work.”
